Rudra Manani (she/her) is an artist of Indian heritage residing on the unceded lands of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples, also known as Victoria B.C. She is an honours graduate with a BFA in Visual Arts from the University of Victoria.
Rudra’s work is informed by an ongoing study of the sacred Sanskrit text, the Bhagavad Gita. Her paintings function as energetic landscapes visualizing forces such as karma (action & consequence), samsara (the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth as dictated by karma), and sattva (harmony, balance, and purity).
